Wellsfield Trout Fishery – Weekly Report for Week Ending: 2/1/2011

The fishery is open 7 days, 8am-5pm thanks to the Automatic Ice Prevention Wave Machines.  The fishery wave machines will remain on all winter for anglers.

All 3 lochans are open for fly and bait fishing.  The thaw is helping all the ponds, and the increasing water temperatures have helped anglers catch plenty fish.  The ponds are still being stocked as normal with a fish delivery every week.

Best flies: Nomads, Dancers, Fritzs on intermediate or fast sink tip lines.  Best Baits: Worms, Maggot, Powerbait ledgered.
