A Passion For Angling

It seems many people are after this series on DVD. However your best option is to buy the VHS series from Amazon which is available here – A Passion For Angling [VHS] [1993]
as it is not available on DVD.

This video is quite simply the best angling production ever whether you are a fisher(person) or not, it is total quality.

Chris Yates and Bob James exude so much childish enthusiasm for their fishing adventures its impossible not to be drawn into their magical world.

Another aspect that I feel needs to be highlighted is the total respect Chris Yates & Bob James show for their quarry and the countryside. Too often the presenters of angling videos try to be “the stars”, not so with “A Passion For Angling”, the fish in this video deservedly take center stage.

The camera work and editing is excellent, almost making the viewer believe they are on the bank alongside our intrepid adventurers. You can almost feel the fresh air.

The background music compliments the viewing perfectly, soothing and gently caressing the audience through the scenes.
Bernard Cribbins narration is the icing on the cake both witty and informative yet never intrusive.

I have been angling for 30 years and have during that time I provided technical assistance for and even helped to produce videos on angling and I can say, hand on heart that A Passion For Angling is the standard by which all other videos will be judged.
